Lady Indians Punch Ticket to State Tournament
Saturday afternoon the Lady Indian softball team became the first team since 1989 to qualify for the state tournament. Comanche was the regional host thanks to a district championship. The regional started Wednesday because of the threat of rain later in the week. Matched against Jones in the first round, Comanche made quick work of the Lady Longhorns winning 11-2. In the last game of the night the Lady Indians faced Bethel. Once again Comanche would win comfortably 8-1. Because of the rain the championship game would not be played until Saturday afternoon were Comanche would face Chisholm. Needing to win twice Chisholm was unable to get a victory falling handaly to the host team 8-3. Comanche will play Thursday at 4:00 pm at the Hall of Fame Softball Complex in OKC.
